Quintanilla has knee sprain, will be examined further
Rockies infielder Omar Quintanilla, a defensive specialist who is to begin the year in Colorado Springs, is out with a left knee sprain, the Rockies said Wednesday. Quintanilla is scheduled for an MRI on Thursday.
The injury occurred Tuesday. Quintanilla, playing shortstop, took a shot from a runner while trying to catch a high throw from second baseman Eric Young Jr. during a 6-1 loss to the White Sox at Glendale, Ariz.
