Reynolds burised, Fowler sick
Rockies right-hander Greg Reynolds, who has made a dramatic recovery from labrum surgery after last season, was smoked just above the right elbow by a line drive during a live batting practice session on Monday.
Reynolds is scheduled to pitch Friday at Scottsdale, Ariz., against the Giants. Pitching coach Bob Apodaca said late Monday he does not know if Reynolds’ Cactus League debut will have to be delayed.
Center fielder Dexter Fowler was supposed to participate in Monday’s intrasquad game, but was ordered to stay home because of a stomach virus.
how sick would the rockies be right now if they went for lincecum or longoria instead of reynolds. it goes w/o saying that hindsight is 20/20, but lordy, were they off the mark w/ reynolds.
also- typo- burised=bruised.
